The sanatorium and resort card is the first thing that will be asked at the sanatorium's reception desk. They will not be allowed to resort procedures without it. The sanatorium doctor cannot create a spa treatment program without this document. The card is issued in advance at the polyclinic at the place of residence. You will not be able to do this on the day of departure.

What is a sanatorium card?

A standard medical document. Adults are given a form 072/y, children - 076/y. The CCM includes a diagnosis, test results, health data, and information about contraindications. Based on this document, the sanatorium doctor gets the right to prescribe spa treatment. Without it, there is no sanatorium program, no medical procedures.

Who needs a spa card?

To all those who come to the sanatorium for treatment. No CCM means no spa treatments. If you bought a ticket to a boarding house without a medical profile, you do not need a card. In all other cases, it is mandatory. The sanatorium does not have the right to prescribe spa treatment without confirmed information about the guest's health status. If there is no CCM, there is no reason for a sanatorium program.

What documents will be needed for registration

You need to contact the polyclinic at your place of residence. I have a passport, an MHI policy and a ticket to a sanatorium with me. The ticket is shown to the therapist: this is how he sees the sanatorium profile of the institution and understands which specialists to refer. Without a voucher, the therapist does not know what kind of treatment is coming, and cannot prescribe the necessary directions.

Medical examinations and tests

A standard set of tests and examinations for CCM:

  • general blood test;
  • general urinalysis;
  • ECG;
  • fluorography or X-ray of the lungs;
  • consultation with a therapist.

Women also need a gynecologist's consultation. In case of diseases of a certain profile, the therapist refers to specialized specialists.: cardiologist, gastroenterologist, neurologist. The conclusions of each of them are attached to the CCM. A blood test and other necessary tests can be taken at a polyclinic or a private clinic, whichever is more convenient. The results of the tests are valid for a limited time, so it is better to clarify the specific requirements with the therapist: sanatoriums have the right to set additional conditions.

Contacting your doctor

Making an appointment with a therapist is the first step. At the reception, they present a ticket to the sanatorium and explain the purpose of the visit. The therapist examines the medical history, looks at the profile of the sanatorium, decides which specialists to refer.

There are no chronic diseases — the card can be issued in one or two visits. With chronic diseases, the process will take longer. Consultations with specialists, tests, repeated appointment with a therapist — all this takes time. In this case, you need to go to the clinic in three to four weeks. It is better for women to make an appointment with a gynecologist immediately when making an appointment with a therapist: it takes longer to wait for an appointment with this specialist.

Passing examinations

The therapist issues referrals after the initial appointment. Blood, urine, and ECG analysis — without this, the resort card will not be issued. What else is needed is decided by the therapist. The list depends on the profile of the sanatorium and on what diseases the patient has. The results are collected and brought back for a repeat appointment.

Some of the tests can be done at a private clinic — there is usually no waiting list. The cost depends on the set of studies. In the polyclinic at the place of residence, registration of a sanatorium card under the compulsory medical insurance policy is free of charge. In a private clinic, the cost of registration will be higher.

Getting a ready-made card

At the next appointment, the therapist examines the test results, fills out the spa card, signs and seals it. The CCM is also signed by the head of the department. After that, the document is considered valid. The sanatorium card is taken to the sanatorium along with the voucher — both documents are needed upon arrival.

How long is the sanatorium card valid?

The sanatorium card is valid for two months from the date of issue. If you did not arrive at the sanatorium during this period, the card is issued anew. It is better to contact the clinic no earlier than two months before departure and no later than two weeks in advance. Earlier, the analyses may become outdated. Later — there won't be enough time to collect everything you need for the map.

What to do if there is no CCM

They arrive without a card for various reasons. We didn't have time to register, we didn't know what we needed. In a number of sanatoriums, in this case, you can undergo an on—site examination - if provided. The cost will be higher than in the polyclinic at the place of residence. Some institutions issue their own CCM, but its status is determined by the rules of a particular sanatorium.

A guest with a ready—made sanatorium card arrives and immediately goes to the doctor - without queues for registration and without losing days of the course. On the day of arrival, the doctor looks at the tests, reads the expert opinions, and prescribes spa treatments. Treatment begins immediately.

In the sanatorium "Magadan" the card is examined on the first day of arrival. The doctor analyzes blood tests, data on the disease, and expert opinions. Based on this, an individual spa treatment program is prepared. A detailed CCM gives the doctor more data — medical procedures are selected more precisely, and sanatorium treatment gives the best result.
